Unsecured Water Meter

Here is a picture of the newly-installed water meter. It looks very unsecured and one wrong bump would break the pipe. Connection of the pipes leading to our house is for our own account of course and we looked for a plumber last week to take care of it. Unfortunately for us, they all had work yesterday and none was available at such a short notice. Anyway, we came back yesterday and was able to talk to our neighbor who will construct our gate and the grills. Come next visit, the water pipe will be cemented and the meter will be enclosed. In the meantime, I just hope that thieves won't bother my water meter.

When Push Comes To Shove

I asked the Lord for a little help in building my house and I think He gave me a shove towards the right direction. I am thinking of taking out a personal loan from a bank affiliated with our company where the rates and payment scheme are just perfect! I am now trying to determine if I will qualify, but I know that I should have more faith.

I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Water Connection Up & Running!

Finally, my Manila Water connection was served yesterday, only after a month! The helpful employees (or is contractors?) texted and called me yesterday morning and told me that they will install the meter that day, even though it was a holiday. I haven't paid the balance required for the installation charges but they connected the service anyway. I am paying today and will just call the hot line to give my payment details.

I was at the house this morning but forgot to take a picture of the new water meter. I just hope the meter won't get stolen. The neighbors still have the dogs inside the house and another one caged beside the meter.

I Heart Manila Water

At the moment, I heart Manila Water! Or, its employees. Remember that I am applying for a water connection at my house and I am now waiting for the contract number and order of payment? Well, it came last week, well we had to get it in Montalban, Rizal. The order of payment was for the whole amount of P7,200 or full payment is required. I was advised by my developer to just pay the P600.00 guarantee deposit and just wait to see if Manila Water will connect my water supply. So I paid only the guarantee deposit, called the 1627 hot line and gave them the details of my payment. The customer service rep again was polite, well informed and very helpful. This was last Tuesday morning. Late afternoon, I received a call from Rey of Manila Water asking me why I only paid the guarantee deposit when I should have paid the whole amount in the order of payment. I told him that I was not able to talk to anybody before hand to request a staggered payment for my account. He told me to pay at least half of the amount and the rest will be included in my water bill for 6 months. I asked if its possible for me to pay just P1,800.00 more and to pay the balance in 9 months. He said this was not within his authority to approve and he will get back to me the following day. The next day, he texted me that I can pay just the amount I mentioned and the balance is payable in 1 year. Great news!

Rey was proactive and very helpful and went the extra mile for me.

So yes, I heart Manila Water employees!
